new license on arc-net pages
howdy all, quickly completely overshadowing my last post to share the news that the pages on my website here, what i call the arc-net, are now covered under the terms of the Just World Cultural License, rather than CC-BY-SA 4.0, as they were previous. importantly, all posts made prior to this one (on 2024-01-04 at 6:53pm eastern) are still covered by the Creative Commons license they were initially created under. all the the same restrictions and freedoms are in effect. additionally, they are also covered by the terms set forth in the JWCL. if anyone has questions, shoot me an email. if you’re planning on using this work for anything, we can have a chat about it.
going forward, and beginning with this post, my website and the content therein is managed by the terms of the JWCl. that’s a license drafted by Kat Suricata that acts as a very permissive, copyleft set of rules and guidelines to protect the content on this website from unethical and harmful use. it’s pretty cool and i really like the idea of Kat’s ambiguity in the wording of the license. i would recommend reading the license terms (they’re pretty straightforward and include an FAQ), as well as the other content Kat has put out. they seem pretty neat.
that’s all. please return to your regularly scheduled activities.
